Market Analysis (Objective)
The 21000 series is APN’s objective data-ingestion layer — external Tier-1 institutional sources only (ABS, RBA, APRA, and state/territory government releases), loaded and certified as individual data nodes rather than derived from other APN Codex nodes. This is the raw material the rest of the Codex builds on: the Insight commentary (22000 series) and the Proprietary Indices (24000 series) both anchor their analysis to certified 21000-series readings.
APN does not collect prices, transactions or listings. It reads what public institutions and data providers publish and places each reading against its own history, so every node reports where conditions sit relative to their norm rather than restating a published figure.
Eight sub-series are scoped across this branch. Coverage is genuinely mixed — some sub-series are substantially built out with live, certified nodes; others (older market-report and investment-strategy content types) were deprioritised early and remain inactive in the platform taxonomy. The table below is the honest current state.
- 80 taxonomy nodes across the series; 64 active, 16 inactive. Most of the inactive nodes sit in two sub-series, both deprioritised early in the platform’s build: Property Prices & Market Reports (6 of 12 inactive) and Investment Strategy Analysis (all 7 inactive). The other three are spread across two sub-series.
- 53 of the 64 active nodes carry a certified reading. Of the other eleven, four are sub-series hubs and two group component nodes, and none of these carries a reading of its own; four Legislation & Policy nodes publish NIL RETURN, two by design as policy registers and two while their registers are designed; and Media & Narrative Sentiment (21680) carries a qualitative classification rather than a standardised reading.
- Calculation basis: most certified readings are computed directly by the platform’s standard Z-score pipeline. Five nodes whose constructions need their own calculation are certified from separate calculations on Tier-1 inputs. The Demographic Analysis nodes (21410 to 21440) read rates of change from October 2026; their household count is modelled from ABS projections and population between Censuses.
