National Scenario Evaluation

1What This Node Covers

A National Scenario Evaluation sets out a symmetric set of numbered scenarios for national conditions over a stated horizon, and evaluates what each would mean for housing. Australian Property Network (APN) does not forecast, so no scenario is labelled the base case and none is given a probability. Each is a structured way of asking what follows if a stated condition holds.

2What Every Evaluation Does
  • Defines each scenario by the condition that distinguishes it, with bounds drawn from the historical record or from attributed institutional ranges.
  • Evaluates the consequences mechanically, from the declared data anchors, without weighting one scenario above another.
  • Names signposts: the releases that would show which scenario conditions are emerging.
  • Is dated to its edition. A later edition supersedes it; it is never silently revised.
3Published Evaluations

All National Scenario Evaluations are listed in the National Scenario Evaluation archive.

4Governance

Governed by the APN 22000 Series Editorial Standard and the constraints of National Insight (22100). The prohibition on forecasts and investment recommendations applies in full.
