The rename
Node 24710, a component of the APN Investment Conditions Index™ (24700), was registered as Macro-Volatility Conditions. Every input it carried was a level or a volume — a rate, a lending share, a dollar flow. None measured volatility. The node reported the cost of capital under the name of its movement.
The rebuilt node composes six components — Cost of Capital (24711), Credit Flow (24712), Lending Standards (24713), Interest-Rate Volatility (24714), Inflation Volatility (24715) and Exchange-Rate Volatility (24716) — three of which are realised-volatility measures. It is now named Financing & Volatility Conditions.
A separate “macro-volatility” reading
APN also publishes the APN Aggregate Macro-Volatility Index™ (AMVI, node 21200), an unrelated six-pillar composite of interest-rate, inflation, employment, household, construction and credit-market conditions. AMVI’s name has not changed. Only Financing & Volatility Conditions (24710) has been renamed.
