1What This Node Covers
Named public claims about population, migration, household formation, retirement and housing tenure, tested against the ABS and other primary series they rest on and against Australian Property Network’s (APN’s) certified readings. The claim is usually the subject of an attributed perspective in the 23000 Series.
2What Every Claim Test Does
- States the claim fairly, with its source, and breaks it into testable propositions.
- Checks what each figure measures: who is counted, over what period, and in which survey. Demographic figures often depend on the definition as much as on the data.
- Reports each result plainly: holds, holds with qualification, or does not hold, and declares NIL RETURN where no published basis exists.
