Measures residential tenure stability by locality across three Census sub-indicators, all direct polarity — a higher score means higher relative housing security. Requires at least 1 of 3 sub-indicators valid for a locality to score. **Sub-indicators (Census G44/G45/G37):** - 1-year residence stability rate - 5-year residence stability rate - Tenure / landlord type 2National Distribution N6,766 Mean46.99 Std Dev20.49 Min0.30 Max93.50 Distribution 24124 Score — 6,766 Localities Over 200 Residents Scores are ranked across all 14,355 scored localities. Among the localities with more than 200 residents shown here the mean is 46.99. 3Pillar Alignment and Geography **Alignment with the pillar.** Across the 6,765 localities with more than 200 residents scored on both, this component and APN Sentinel™ (Safety & Sentiment Index) (24120) have a correlation of **0.64**, on a scale where 1 means the two scores move together exactly and 0 means they are unrelated. The two are moderately aligned: a locality that scores high on this component tends to score above average on Sentinel, with many exceptions. This component is one of the pillar’s six inputs, so part of that alignment is built into the pillar itself. By State and Territory Average 24124 Score by State and Territory Each bar is the average score of the jurisdiction’s localities with more than 200 residents, with every locality counted equally regardless of population; the dashed line marks the national mean of 46.99. Victoria averages highest at 53.5 (1,227 localities) and the Northern Territory lowest at 32.2 (162). Tasmania averages 53.1, South Australia 52.5, New South Wales 48.5, the Australian Capital Territory 44.3, Western Australia 42.5 and Queensland 39.7. Other Territories (4 localities) are not shown. 4Other Components The other five components of APN Sentinel™ (Safety & Sentiment Index) (24120).
